The grant is $10,000 or the consideration paid to buy or build the house if less than that amount. Only one grant is payable per eligible transaction, so two people purchasing a house together may only receive one grant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"gutenify-section-6ebd0e40-3e7a-11ee-999c-89ecb7b6735a\">If you are a first home owner, you&nbsp;may <a href=\"https:\/\/zingtree.com\/host.php?z=hosted&amp;tree_id=690513832&amp;style=panels&amp;persist_names=Restart&amp;persist_node_ids=1&amp;nopermalink=1&amp;start_node=35\">qualify for the grant<\/a> if you are purchasing or building a new home.&nbsp;A&nbsp;home that has been <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wa.gov.au\/government\/publications\/fhog-cp7\">substantially renovated<\/a> may be considered a new home.
